Showcase of Stars is presented by Johnston County Schools for the benefit of the Johnston County Education Foundation. Our public school music teachers each prepare up to 50 students to perform one number. The result is a musical extravaganza that guarantees to entertain.
The Paul A. Johnston Auditorium, on the campus of Johnston Community College, is the venue. Showcase of Stars affords students the opportunity to perform on the stage in front of an audience of up to 1,000 people. It is an awesome experience for the students.The Annual Adult Spelling Bee is held in the Great Hall on the campus of Johnston Community College. The event is held in November. Come on out and bring your pencil & paper to see if you can spell the words we've selected for this year's competition.
Our Book of Honor is a way to honor special people in your life. A contribution of $25.00 lists the name of a special person in our Book of Honor, lists their name on our Book of Honor page on the Internet, and we will send them a formal card informing them of the placement of their name in our Book of Honor by you.

A contribution of $25 lists the name of a special person in our Book of Memory, lists their name on our Book of Memory page on the Internet, and we will send the family or friends of your choosing a formal card to let them know of your thoughtfulness.

The Book of Memory resides at the Johnston County Board of Education Administration Building.This fund raiser serves two purposes for the Education Foundation: funds for the general fund, and another scholarship is added to those administered by JCEF for students graduating from Johnston County’s public schools. Only 250 raffle tickets are sold in our annual “Scholarship Naming Raffle”, held in August. The winner of the raffle is entitled to determine the name of the Education Foundation’s one-year, $1,000 scholarship, as well as designate the high school which will award the scholarship. Profits from the raffle support the general fund of the Johnston County Education Foundation.
