Grants and Awards

The Johnston County Education Foundation funds grants to teachers for innovative classroom activity. We are fortunate to have formed partnerships with the Rotary Club of Central Johnston County and with the Kenly Kiwanis, affording us the ability to fund a greater number of grants.

The Foundation has the honor of participating in Johnston County's Flame for Learning Awards, and administers funds for the Barbara Clapp Character Award.

Hall of Fame

The Johnston County Education Foundation first awarded grants in January 1991. Teachers who have earned grants from the Johnston County Education Foundation are entered into our "Hall of Fame". The list is an elite group of Johnston County educators - and we are proud to share the list with you.

Scholarships

The Johnston County Education Foundation administers scholarship funds for a number of scholarships. Criteria and applications are available through the guidance departments at local high schools. Eligibility requirements, amount of the scholarship award, and past winners are all listed under each scholarship heading. For more information, please contact the guidance counselor at your local high school.

Who's Who

The Johnston County Education Foundation administers scholarships at the direction of donors. We are fortunate to be associated with the scholarship recipients, as each year competition for financial aid to students seems to get fiercer. Names of students who have received scholarships administered by the Johnston County Education Foundation are listed under each scholarship. Our sincere congratulations to each student, with best wishes as each pursues his or her post-secondary education.
